Nikolai Jakobsen is a freelance photojournalist based in Paris for many years.
He covers Europe and beyond for major Nordic news and feature medias. His work regularly appears in Aftonbladet (SE), Helsingin Sanomat (FI), Dagens Nyheter (SE) and Aftenposten (NO).

Born in Sweden, with long international experience as a photographer Nikolai has acquired a deep understanding of the continent’s different cultures and subcultures; in addition to the Scandinavian languages, Nikolai speaks German, English and French.

When he is not on assignment, Nikolai also focuses on personal work such as portraits and short video documentaries.
Since 2015 he has run a photo gallery, La Moulinette, situated in the heart of Montmartre.
